Mandrill

“Ooh, ooh, ah, ah.” — that’s the sound our mandrill from the Schleich WILD LIFE series makes when he dances with his monkey friends every Sunday. Mandrills live in the tropical forests of Central Africa, which are rich in their favorite foods: leaves, mushrooms, insects, and frogs. He eats with gusto until he feels full. He also loves sharing these treats with his best friend, the baboon. In one respect, however, he outshines all his friends: our mandrill is the most colorful mammal in the world. He’s truly eye‑catching and looks as if he used his face rather than a paintbrush to paint pictures. Is that true? Only he can answer that question.
