This Piko starter set includes everything you need to run right away: a powerful CSD BR 130 “Ludmilla” diesel-electric locomotive, three freight cars (container and tank types plus an open wagon), and an extended oval of track with fixed ballast roadbed. The analog controller enables smooth regulation and easy operation straight out of the box.
The locomotive is ready for future upgrades—it features a PluX22 interface (NEM 658) for installing a digital decoder and optionally a sound module with speaker. Thanks to the short-coupling kinematics (NEM 362) and reliable drive, the set is an excellent fit for home layouts. The tracks with integrated roadbed increase longevity under repeated assembly and provide stable running.
