The colorful kingdom board guides travelers along the different paths, while the pouch boards serve as a handy “inventory” for resource tokens. The 8-token limit teaches kids to plan and manage their space.

The Queen of Splendor has entrusted you with an important task: deliver food to towns and villages throughout the kingdom. On each turn, you choose one of two actions – either take resource tokens into your “pouch” board (it holds a maximum of 8 tokens), or move your traveler along the paths and pay the required “cost” to move. This is how you deliver supplies and get closer to the palace.
As soon as someone reaches the palace, they earn a Splendor medal and the final round begins – everyone else gets one last chance to race to the finish. This keeps the game exciting until the very end while still being welcoming for younger players.
