In the board game Patchwork, you create a quilt by stitching together pieces of different shapes. You acquire patches from the offer around the time board and pay for them not only with buttons, but also with time. The key to victory is strategic planning, good timing, and the ability to anticipate which pieces your opponent might take.
The game has simple rules, but offers surprising depth: the active player is always the one whose pawn is behind on the time track. This constantly changes the pace of turns, and you must consider whether it pays off to move quickly, or instead stay behind and gain more options.
