The Class 749 was created in the 1990s by rebuilding Class 751 and 752 locomotives, which were fitted with electric train heating. This allowed the popular “Bardotka” locomotives to be used more economically, especially on shorter passenger trains, while they also found their place in freight service throughout the Czech Republic.
The Roco model represents the ČD 749 218-4 diesel locomotive in Era V, with pressed side panels extending up to the roof edge. It stands out with numerous separately attachable details, an included etched set of plates, and a second operating number, 749 180-6, expanding the options for individualizing the model.
