Universal dispersion adhesive based on polyvinyl acetate for precise and strong bonding of wood and other materials. Delivers high bond strength, flexibility and clarity after curing, and resistance to ambient humidity according to DIN EN 204/D2. Ideal for structural joints (tenons, dowels, tongue-and-groove), edge-glued panels, and surface bonding of HPL and hardboard.

PATTEX Standard D2 is a high-quality polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) dispersion wood adhesive that reliably bonds soft and hard woods, as well as leather, paper, cardboard, textiles, and polystyrene. After curing, the joint is flexible, clear, and moisture-resistant for interior use, making it an excellent choice for precise carpentry and joinery applications.

With an open time of approx. 10–15 minutes, it enables comfortable handling, precise assembly, and subsequent pressing. The adhesive does not discolor wood (including tannin-rich species), is paintable, and offers high bond strength around 6.0 N/mm² for wood/wood bonding.

  • Suitable for: mortise-and-dowel joints, tongue-and-groove, edge-glued panels, surface bonding of HPL and pressed hardboard.
  • Application: with brush, plastic spreader, roller, or by machine; for hard and exotic woods, double-sided application is recommended.
  • Advantages: high strength and flexibility, D2 resistance, aging stability, clear joint, no risk of staining.
