Explorer Dog Himalayan cheese chew is made from the milk of free-range Himalayan cows. The milk is cooked for about an hour (to remove fat and for pasteurization), then a small amount of salt and lime juice (together only 0.01%) is added to curdle it. This is followed by pressing for 2–3 days to remove moisture and then smokehouse drying for 20–30 days, which gives the chew its typical hardness and a mild smoky flavor.
