Tiger I 131 Model Tank from COBI Blocks
The COBI block model represents the Tiger I 131 tank, the only preserved functioning model of its kind from World War II. This historical gem, on display at The Tank Museum in Bovington, UK, is a true star among tanks. Tiger 131, manufactured in 1942, was captured by British forces in Tunisia in May 1943 and became part of the museum exhibit after thorough conservation.
The mini model, designed at a scale of 1:72, consists of 144 high-quality parts. Measuring 11 cm in length once assembled, it includes all the significant features of its historical counterpart, including printed German markings and details such as service panels and engine ventilation. The tank has wheels for movement and its turret is rotatable.
The model is ideal for beginners with COBI blocks but also an interesting item for collectors. It fits perfectly on a desk or a shelf among books. For experienced builders, it offers many intriguing construction elements - piece together history block by block!
