Piglet
Oh, look, a miniature piglet! Our adorable piglet from the Schleich FARM WORLD series may be tiny, but it’s already bursting with energy! It especially loves to wag its curly pink tail when it frolics on the couch and leaps from on high right onto a pile of freshly ironed clothes. Even at a young age, its snout can expertly sniff out all sorts of scents, like cookie crumbs in your bed. Did you know that all pigs love to cuddle and prefer sleeping close together? Isn’t that cute?
Pigs are born in litters with many siblings. One litter usually consists of 10–14 animals.
Pigs are very social animals and care lovingly for their young. Pregnant sows, if they have the chance to give birth outdoors, first dig a cozy den and line it with soft twigs, grass, and leaves. The piglets are born there, and just a few minutes after birth they find their way to the teats to taste their mother’s delicious milk. While they nurse, the mother sings them a song. At least, that’s how it sounds to the piglets. It’s made up of grunts in different tones and at different intervals.
Some people keep pigs as pets because they are very gentle, sensitive, social, curious, and intelligent.

Pigs wallow in mud because it protects them from insects and makes funny spots.
