Fully charge the battery before first use. The breast pump has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery and does not require AA batteries or a permanent connection to the power grid. After fully charging, stop charging to avoid damaging the battery. To extend battery life, do not let it fully discharge. The battery charges via a power adapter. To charge the battery, connect one end of the charging cable to the breast pump and the other end to the power adapter. Then plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet.
