The darkness prevailing in the womb does not allow vision to fully develop prenatally. After birth, the baby’s vision is blurry and hazy. The baby sees only outlines within 20–30 cm, large shapes, and elements of the environment. After about a month, they start to see colors, initially red and black. Around three months, they begin to notice other high-contrast colors. At approximately six months, they start to see details in pictures and see much more clearly. By twelve months, a child’s vision is fully developed like an adult’s and becomes a great tool for exploring the world.
