Kids' Autumn Bucket List

As summer comes to an end, autumn arrives with a season full of beautiful colors, amazing experiences, and chances to make unforgettable memories. We've put together a Kids' Autumn Bucket List for you. Are you ready for adventures that will carry you through this lovely time of year?

1) Read a book together
Autumn evenings are perfect for stories and books. I was intrigued by an educational, school-themed book that explains what happens at school, how after-school care works, and what the cafeteria looks like.
Pick a book together and snuggle under a blanket.

2) Go fly a kite
Cooler, especially windy weather is perfect for kite flying! Head to a meadow, field, or park and watch your kite dance across the sky. We've put together a guide to our kites to help you choose the perfect one for you. I got a 3D CORA kite. Parrots are a big hit in our household.

3) Try hot chocolate ☕
When you get home, dive into making hot chocolate. Add marshmallows or whipped cream for extra joy! Just a heads-up: we can't be responsible for pre-bedtime hyperactivity.

4) Jump in puddles or a pile of fallen leaves
Suit the kids up in rain boots and a raincoat and let them splash in puddles or leap into heaps of leaves. It's fun that never gets old. Pure kid joy guaranteed.

5) Play a board game
Autumn is when it gets dark early and there's not much time for outdoor play after preschool or school. Luckily, you can spend the evenings playing at home—especially board games with the whole family. Choose a favorite game and enjoy a night full of laughter.

6) Take a rainy-day walk with an umbrella ☔
Head out for a walk in the rain! If your little one is dressed properly and you put an umbrella in their hand, it will be an adventure. Together you can watch raindrops on leaves, dark clouds, and listen to the patter of the rain.

7) Draw a tree in autumn colors
Awaken your inner artist and draw a tree with colorful leaves. Let your imagination run free. Use watercolors, markers, or colored pencils. Or glue onto paper the leaves you collect outside. Try to capture the beauty of this season.

8) Put together an awesome Halloween costume ‍♂️
Halloween is coming! Think about what your costume will be. Then you can make the costume or a fun accessory yourself. If you want, get inspired by our selection of costumes.

9) Collect chestnuts and make an animal from them
Chestnuts are autumn treasures. Find and gather them outside. At home, use toothpicks and glue to create any animal you like.

10) Carve a pumpkin ️
Pumpkin carving for Halloween is a tradition that can't be missed. Enjoy a creative afternoon—first scoop it out, then, with an adult's help, cut out the features. Can you make a spooky face? You can then use it to decorate the front door.

When the kids start asking what to do in autumn, show them this list full of fun, adventure, and experiences. And if you need any toys or accessories to complete your Autumn Bucket List, don't forget to check out our selection on the Kidero e-shop!
